Spray polyurethane foam roofing can create a continuous insulated low-slope assembly when it is installed over a suitable substrate and protected by a maintained coating. Phoenix heat and ultraviolet exposure make the condition of that protective surface especially important.
Condition and diagnosis
Inspection should identify coating wear, exposed foam, cracks, blisters, punctures, ponding, weak flashings, penetrations and prior repair layers. A surface defect may remain local, while widespread moisture or adhesion loss can change the responsible scope.
Repair, restoration or replacement
Compatible repair and recoating can be practical when the foam and substrate remain stable and dry enough to accept the work. Damaged areas need preparation or rebuilding before the finish is renewed. Coating should not be used to hide wet or unstable layers.
